Our three Italian students - Sara / Giada & Serena - have all gone home to Italy after enjoying their two week programme of tuition and social activities with us.
Their level of confidence increased during the two weeks and by the time they left their English had improved and they were much happier to talk to each other and the other students in English.
I think they were surprised by the variety of activities they did whilst they were here :-) The first activity they did was horse-riding and they had a great time (and managed not to fall off any of the horses) - see photo's. The day before the girls left we all went to Hunstanton & Sandringham. It was a case of "a day of two halves" - weather wise)!! We started off in the morning in Hunstanton where the weather was "slightly" windy - as you will see from the photo's. However the weather improved amazingly in the afternoon and by the time we arrived in Sandringham the sun was shining and the weather was hot!
We also introduced the students to hot, fresh made, sugar coated doughnuts - initially it was a case of: "no thank you - oh maybe - oh OK" and when we gave them all some free time most of the students went back to the stall and bought more doughnuts!!
All the students were amazed by the outside of Sandringham House as we walked towards it and they were very impressed by what they saw inside the house.
Before they left I asked Sara / Giada & Serena what they were going to do when they got home. They all said they were certain foods they were going to eat when they got home - which were: crescione (which is similar to a filled crepe / pancake) and Italian ice-cream. They were also going to go to the beach :P
We have heard from the girls since they've been back in Italy and they have eaten the things they had missed and have all been to the beach (daily) and btw the weather is lovely over there :P
